REGISTRATION forms for the Men's Son-Rise Cup for Autism Devon FA Registered Trophy are now available from Tavistock Community Sports Centre, Tavistock Community FC and Active Co Sports Shop in Duke Street, Tavistock.
The tournament, held on May 21 and 22 next year, will be run by the Devon FA. There are spaces for 20 teams, these will be split in two leagues and will play their matches on Tavistock Community Soccer Club's all weather pitches on the Sat, May 21.
The two league winners will play in the final at Langsford Park on the Sunday afternoon, kicking off at 3pm.
Aready three teams have entered including the Devon and Cornwall Police and a side connected with the Ordulph Hotel.
Teams must enter before December 1, when a draw will take place at Christmas to decide which league they go in.
A player's registration form will be sent out next March to the captains or secretaries of each team, so every person playing will be logged and can only play for that team.
The rules will be the same as the TCSC Men's leagues that are played twice a year and the referees will all be qualified Devon FA Officials.
South West Wall Coatings Ltd are the sponsors of the tournament and their boss Joe Fitzgerald, a West Ham fan, is said to be thrilled to be a part of this ever growing Tavistock event!
As a gesture to the winners, £100 will go behind the bar at Tavistock Football Club for their celebration.
Next year's Son-Rise Cup Festival is working closely with the Bobby Moore Fund and after the final on the Sunday, an auction of top class memorabilia with go under the hammer in the Red and Black Club, seeing all the profits going to this important bowel cancer charity. 'The most important thing though is this, although we have a wonderful event under the Devon FA's wing, we are changing lives of less fortunate people than ourselves and that is the best thing to take away out of these fund raisers!'
