MEMBERS of a West Devon bridge club said farewell to key members at a recent annual meeting.

The Tavistock Rubber Bridge Club heard encouraging reports on the last year by chairman David Isaac who is standing down after six years.

He thanked his committee for their support, particularly Alan Clark, a previous chairman and Peter Mardon the treasurer who are standing down for health reasons.

The new committee now comprises Norma Woodcock, chairperson, David Isaac, vice chairperson, Mary Newcombe, secretary, Les Handford, treasurer and Diana Golding.Anyone interested in playing bridge in a friendly atmosphere on a Monday afternoon throughout the year should contact 01822 613597 or 01822 614244.
