THE future development of the Burrator Reservoir Historic and Natural Environment Project will go under the spotlight at an open house event at Burrator Lodge next week.
The event provides an opportunity to learn about the project, at which organisers hope to hear people's views on the projects plans for Burrator and to see how they could be involved.
The Burrator Reservoir Historic and Natural Environment Project is designed to enable the south West Lakes Trust to conserve and manage the many archaeological features around the reservoir, implement the habitat management plan and provide improved educational and activity opportunities based on the archaeology and natural environment.
A spokesperson said: 'The project also involves the conversion of the Iron Store into a multi-purpose classroom.
'We aim to provide better interpretation both on the ground and via our website, improve access at key locations, promote self exploration and to provide volunteer opportunities including training.'
Anyone interested is welcome to drop in anytime from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday April 28.
There will be other seasonal events happening at South West Lakes Trust venues throughout the winter and full details may be obtained from the South West Lakes Trust website http://www.swlakestrust.org.uk">www.swlakestrust.org.uk or by calling 01566 771930.
