PARISH groups will 'raise the roof' at this year's flower festival at St Andrew's Church in South Tawton.

Twenty-one groups will take part in the festival to raise money for the church's roof fund. The church is threatened with closure due to the increasing necessity for repairs on the roof and internal brick work.

The festival runs from April 12 to April 14, from 10am to 5.30pm each day. As well as refreshments and a plant stall in the Church House throughout, on Saturday there will be a spring produce and craft market until mid-day, and family fun and a barbecue.
