HARVEST time will be particularly special at St John the Baptist Church in Horrabridge this year, as it plays host to a flower festival organised by the church council.
The council says that although the church has been without a rector since January, it is still active and lively — as proof of this, many village groups and associations are submitting floral tributes to the festival.
The festival will be open in the church between 11am and 6pm on Friday and Saturday, October 3 and 4, and from 2pm until 5pm on Sunday October 5.
Light refreshments will be available.
All profits from the festival will go towards the running costs of church.
