A FLOWER festival entitled ?A Celebration of Marriage? was held at St Bridget?s Church in Bridestowe from June 17 to 20.
The seven parishes around Okehampton in the Northmoor team all contributed flower arrangements portraying different wedding anniversaries ? such as pearl for 30 years by Okehampton and emerald at 55 years by Bratton Clovelly. Other arrangements portrayed the bride at the altar and the baptism of a baby.
There was also a craft exhibition and refreshments each day in the Methodist Church.
St Bridget?s Church is currently raising money for the replacement of the suspended ceiling in the building and it is hoped to change the dark panelling above the tower door to a glazed panel.
