GET those flying pans at the ready because the annual pancake race is being revived in Callington on Shrove Tuesday, February 24.
Fore Street will be closed from 5.30pm to 7.30pm for a knock-out pancake race and anyone can take part as long as they can gather together a team of four and supply their own pancakes.
There will be a trophy for the winning team and a prize for the best dressed team — fancy dress is optional.
Applications need to be in by tomorrow (Friday). Forms are available in Callington Town Hall. Entrance is £4 per team and any profits will go to a local charity.
After the races there will be refreshments in the town hall. The event is being organised by the town's churches and the town council.
