FIVE brave hairdressers will jump out of a plane later this month to help fight breast cancer.

A team of stylists from Quinns Hairdressers has pledged to take part in the Big Pink Jump on September 30, a nationwide skydive fundraiser for Breast Cancer Campaign.

Sarah Sheppard, Sophie Osman, Jess Brock, Hayley Gent and Maxine Thornley have all agreed to take part in the sky dive together, aiming to raise as much money for the charity.

They will travel down to Perranporth, one of over 20 jump sites across the country, to complete their challenge.

Dawn Pitts, owner of the salon, said: 'When the letter promoting the Big Pink Jump came through the door, I was a bit surprised that the girls were so up for it.

'They really were keen to take part, which is great of them.

'We try to raise money for charity here when we can, and it is great of the girls to be so up for it and give it a go.'

The event kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, and also raises funds for BCC.

The charity's mission is to beat breast cancer by funding innovative world-class research to understand how breast cancer develops, leading to improved diagnosis, treatment, prevention and cure.

As part of their fundraising, the salon is also planning a fundraising evening in October.

To sponsor the ladies, you can pop into the salon to fill out a sponsor form, or sponsor them online via the Quinns Hairdressing Facebook Page.
