ON a glorious day the Thistles team were in a dominant mood to finish their season with an excellent win over Plymouth Youth.
From the start Thistles were well drilled — an excellent goal from David Gibbings spurred them into action.
The passing of the players confounded Youth and it was not long before Sean Cleave got the first of his well-deserved hat trick.
Youth found the defence of Chris Hutchings, Jonathan Smith, Patrick Warlow and Matt Roberts just too much to handle, leaving Thistles goalkeeper Rob Milligan twiddling his thumbs.
The second half found Thistles determined to finish with a clean sheet and this was secured when captain Tom Reed found the back of the net.
Midfield players Harry Payne, Rob Leeson and Luke Stephenson all played excellent football.
This was a great game to watch and the reorganisation of the team has paid off.
The season has been a tough one against many of the finest teams from Plymouth. The bonus of having Mark Wicket as main coach confirmed at this game brought to Thistles the boost and confidence the players needed. The team and manager expressed thanks to him and all the parents and players for their support this season.
