THE East Cornwall Football Development Centre based at Callington Community College is looking for five-a-side teams to take part in their new adult summer league. The new league is part of the football development centres community programme that offers the opportunity for people to engage in football to help lead active lifestyles, enjoy themselves and take part regardless of age or ability. The Development Centre has just appointed Alan Yendell, an FA and UEFA licensed coach, who has worked on numerous football programmes, both at grassroots and elite level in recent years in the UK, Canada and USA. The new adult summer league kicks off on Monday, July 2, and will finish on August 27, and games will be played every Monday evening between 6.30pm and 9.30pm. The cost for each team is £12 affiliation and then £10 per team per week. Each team can have up to eight players registered. Alan Yendell said: ?The league is a great way to stay active over the summer months for all those that play football, either on a recreational or competitive basis. ?The summer league is the first of many children and adult football leagues we aim to launch throughout the year, its an exciting time for football here at the Development Centre?
