IT strikes me that the world has gone crazy. Dartmoor National Park Authority somehow in its wisdom recommends turning down planning permission for the fish and chip van to continue trading, which it has been doing for quite some time without any problems. It makes you wonder what DNPA is all about. (Aren?t they the servants of the people ? not the masters?) They can be petty here yet pass ridiculous plans elsewhere. We used to have a visiting fish and chip van in Brentor and it was wonderful, a real community event. People would chat while queueing and it is greatly missed now it has stopped coming. I hope the locals affected appeal and go before the panel and prove their case. May David Gray and friends long enjoy their fish suppers! Sheryl Burroughs Brentor
