Devon Premier Cup Third Round Okehampton 1st 2 Culm Utd 1 OKEHAMPTON, unbeaten in the league, have struggled in cup games this season. Culm from a league lower really made the home side work hard hard. On 18 minutes Phil Evans played the ball over two central midfielders for Chris Wills to control well and slot past the keeper. Okehampton continued to work hard. Culm created several good chances but the Oke?s defence stood firm. Both teams were struggling to play good posession football and this led to further chances at both ends but it was Oke that scored the second goal. Neil Vernon played the ball out of defence finding Steve Kinsey in midfield, an excellent first time pass to Steve Williams wide right showed great pace to get around the defender and find Adam Mortimore who finished well. Culm continued to battle and eventually scored through Stuart Shaw after a misjudged defensive header by James Williams 15 minutes from time. Keeper Daniel Malcolm made two great saves late in the game. This week away in the league to Wellington Town.
