SUE Walker, who lives near Northlew, has recently had her first book of rhymes for children published.

The book, 'Grim Rhymes', features adaptations of three classic fairy tales, which have been flipped and made into rhyme; two of these originally penned by the Brothers Grimm, hence the name of the book.

'Snow White and the Seven Dwarves' has become 'Murky Grey and the Seven Wolves', 'Rumpelstiltskin' is represented by 'Lumpy Milk Skin' and 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears' is now the story of 'Mouldy Socks and the Three Hares.'

Illustrations complement each rhyme and were produced by Alex Arnault-Ham, a recent illustration graduate from Falmouth University.

Sue hopes this will be the first of many books of rhymes and stories, for both children and adults, that she publishes.
