A TOOL share scheme is being launched in Tavistock to help charities and community groups complete crucial projects.
During the current economic climate, when money is tight, tool costs can make or break a local initiative, which could be anything from re-building a church hall that has been damaged to transforming waste ground into allotments.
Brandon Hire, based at Westbridge Industrial Estate, Tavistock, is planning to step in and give groups the chance to apply for free hire to help complete projects on time and within budget.
Branch manager Chris Frampton said: 'Having the right tools is often the key to a successful job, but we know that many local projects get abandoned because there are simply not enough funds to buy or hire equipment. That's where we come in.
'It doesn't matter whether you need a 20-foot ladder, a concrete mixer, or a drill, where possible we will try to help.'
The scheme is being launched as part of the company's 40th birthday celebrations.
Anyone who needs Brandon Hire's help, simply state what tools are needed and why and send details to Brandon Hire Tool Share, C/O Vital, 14a Clarendon Avenue, Leamington Spa, CV32 5PZ, or email [email protected]">[email protected]
