FIRE crews were called to a building fire at Elms Meadow in Winkleigh on Friday.

Three appliances from North Tawton, Chulmleigh and Hatherleigh attended the scene, but on arrival crews confirmed the small fire in a central heating unit in an airing cupboard had been extinguished.
