A SMALL fire involving an electrical fan broke out in the cellar of the Seven Stars Inn in South Tawton on Tuesday morning (February 14). Two firefighting crews from Okehampton attended the incident and used two breathing apparatus sets and a hose reel to quell the fire in the ground floor store room. The electrical fire broke out at around 10.15am. l ONE person was seriously injured in a two car collision which occurred on the A30 west of Sourton Cross on Sunday. Ambulance services supplied first aid treatment at the scene before the casualty was taken to hospital. The accident occurred at 6.45pm on Sunday, February 12. Two fire crews from Okehampton plus a crew from Launceston were called to the scene and had to act quickly to wash away fuel that had spilled into the road after the petrol tank in one of the vehicles had ruptured. l A VAN was severely damaged by fire while travelling on the public highway near Belstone. One hosereel and two sets of breathing apparatus were used by a firefighting crew from Okehampton to put the blaze out. The fire occurred at around 10am on Saturday, February 11, and caused traffic delays for around half an hour.
