A FIRE crew from Okehampton were called to reports of a van on fire at Maceys Terrace, Okehampton, last Thursday.

Crews arrived at 9.37am to find the van heavily on fire on open ground and extinguished it using a hose reel jet.

Crews also attended a chimney fire at Frenchbeer near Chagford on Sunday afternoon.

They inspected a chimney with a possible blockage using a thermal image camera and extinguished the fire using chimney gear.
