FIRE crews received a call about fire alarms activating in a commercial property in North Road, Okehampton, at around 5am on Tuesday.

One crew from Okehampton attended, confirming a small fire involving electrical switch gear within the plant room of a three-storey factory.

The fire was out on arrival of the crew who inspected the property to ensure it was safe. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.

l Fire crews were called to a collision on the A30 southbound from Sourton Services to Stowford Cross, just after 1pm on Saturday.

Two appliances from Okehampton and one from Hatherleigh attended the incident, involving one vehicle which was on its roof.

All those involved were free and clear of the vehicle upon the crews' arrival.
