THE organisers of the annual triangle nine-kilometre running race around the Princetown area are expecting a record turnout this weekend.
Pat McDonald said that last year they had the biggest entry ever but this year there had been a great deal of interest from as far away as Manchester and Southampton.
'We are really hoping for a record entry and are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather is kind,' she said. 'Last year a 13-year-old boy completed the race in 25 minutes and broke the race record.'
The race which raises money for the Community Fund takes place on roads between Princetown, Two Bridges, Rundlestone and back to the village. There are trophies for the first man, first woman and first junior and medals.
Race registration is in the square at 11.30am on Sunday and the race starts at 12.15pm. Entry fee is £2.50 for adults and £1 for juniors under 16 years.
