IN the Exeter and District Lawn Tennis League division 3 Okehampton Ladies' A team recorded another fine win at home to Newton Abbot A team.

Angela Herrod-Taylor and Lin Atkinson won their two matches 6-2, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-0.

Marcia Jones and Beth Carter then lost their first match 3-6, 5-7, but won their second match 6-2, 6-3 and were unfortunate not to take a set against Newton Abbot's first pair.

On May 14 the men's B team started their season's programme with a defeat at home to Sampford Peverell B. The score was 3-1.

Jonathan Carter and Scott Rose won one and lost one match.

Okehampton's second pair, Alan Holman and Graham Deale, lost both of their matches, although it was close in one when they just lost on a tie-break.
