AN evening of festive prose, poetry and music with a glass of wine and a mince pie will be held in Tavistock Library on Friday, December 12.

The Christmas event, organised by the Friends of the Library, will feature poems penned by the likes of Charles Causley and Rudyard Kipling.

The entertainment will kick off at 7.15pm with music from the Horrabridge Choir and draw to a close at around 9.30pm with a rendition of Band Aid?s ?Do They Know It?s Christmas??

Proceeds will go to supporting visiting authors and illustrators at the Children?s Book Festival in March next year. Tickets, which include refreshments, are available from the library for £2.50 for adults or £1.50 concession.
