OKEHAMPTON Library is getting into the Christmas spirit with a sack full of events this month with something on offer for everyone. Children are being invited to design a new costume for Father Christmas with a chance to win a copy of Alan Snow?s book ?How Santa really works?. Tomorrow (Friday), library customers are invited to join the staff for a cup of coffee and warm mince pie between 10am and 12.30pm. The same day is also Merry Christmas e-mail day. Come along with a family or friend?s e-mail address and staff will help you send them a Christmas greeting. If you do not have an e-mail address of your own, the library staff will help you set one up. Free half-hour sessions will be running between 9.30am and 5pm. On Monday, December 20, there will be an after-school drop-in craft session for children aged 5 to 10, and on the following day there will be a special Christmas craft section for children under five and their carers from 2.30pm to 3pm. There is also a chance to test your Christmas knowledge and win a book token in the Christmas quiz - question sheets are available from the library. There is also a Santa postbox in the library for children to send a letter to Lapland. Their reply will be ready to collect on their next visit to the library.
