THE recent Nativity festival held at St John's Church in Horrabridge has been deemed a success by organisers.

Nearly all of the village organisations contributed a nativity display, together with surrounding churches.

Organisers said the ideas and originality of the exhibits were 'truly amazing' and the exhibits and the organ playing by various local organists were very much appreciated by the many people who came to see them.

The carol service at the close of the festival was followed by a convivial sharing of mulled wine and mince pies.

The event raised £700 for church funds. Organisers expressed thanks to everyone who contributed to the festival and they hope it will be repeated next year.
