WHAT has become a regular 'date for the diary' must for those who enjoy quality food produce in West Devon have only three months to satisfy their appetite. Tavistock's fourth annual Food Festival promises to be a bumper event says its chairman, Jeffrey Stackhouse. Exhibitors from as far away as Wiltshire and Dorset will be at this year's event on July 28 and July 29, complementing those from Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Jeffrey said: 'We are absolutely thrilled with this year's take up on exhibition spaces. 'Out of our planned 105 exhibitor stands we have already received bookings for over 85. 'This reflects how successful our annual show has become and guarantees that our visitors will have two fabulous shopping days buying real quality produce from regional artisan producers. 'We have just launched a new and exciting user friendly web site which gives much more detailed information to both exhibitors and visitors alike. 'Potential exhibitors can now download an exhibitor application form directly from the site at http://www.TavistockFoodFestival.co.uk">www.TavistockFoodFestival.co.uk. 'One of our exhibitors, Mignon Johnson, proprietor of the Saffron Kitchen in Taunton, recently appeared on the UKTV Food programme with a winning Vindaloo curry recipe. Her stand last year was one of the most popular at last year's Festival with a superb selection of her own curry sauces and flavourings.'
