FOOTBALL, fancy dress and most of all, fun will be on offer at Gulworthy's first ever Country Festival being held at the beginning of next month.
The event has been organised to raise funds for the restoration of Gulworthy Church — the target is £40,000 and organisers hope the festival will bring together the whole community and lots more from further afield.
The gates open at 11 am on August 5 — attractions include a gymkhana, clear round jumping, a dog show, obstacle race, hobby horse race, five-a-side football, live music, fancy dress and many stalls and competitions.
Plants and produce will also be available, as will demonstrations, pony rides and refreshments.
The festival will be held on land half a mile from Gulworthy School crossroads on the B3257 and will be well signposted.
Anyone who would like to enter any of the events should call 01822 833477 or 832396.
