THERE will be a new attraction at this year's Tavistock Sings music and arts festival, which starts this weekend. West Gate Shorts is a Tavistock-based project which has been showing and promoting films and their makers, especially young film makers from West Devon. On April 30 at 8pm for just £5 at Tavistock Wharf, short film buffs and the uninitiated alike will be treated to a diverse programme of short films, including Academy nominee Everything in This Country, and the BAFTA winning 'Dupe', plus other award winning films. In addition there will be a selection of films from Tavistock College students and the premiere showing of the Tamar Valley Floating Classroom Project.
