THE Tamar Valley ferry begins trips to the historic Morwellham Quay this weekend.

Ferry operators Josh and Alec will be taking Gloria for her inaugural voyage on Saturday. The ferry leaves Calstock Quay at 6.30pm and visitors will have two hours before returning to Calstock at about 9.30pm. The cost is £4.50, £3 for children.

Regular day-time trips are also being organised — for an inclusive fee of £8.50, or £5 for children, visitors will also be able to explore all the attractions of Morwellham Quay.
