Exeter Chiefs U16s 10
Okehampton U16s 27
OKEHAMPTON travelled to Chiefs hoping to make it three wins in a row.
Patrick Webb of Okehampton caught the ball from the kick off. Both sets of forwards jostled each other for territory and possession. Forward pressure through led to a penalty being awarded to the Okes which Billy Searle converted. Patrick Webb jumped high to catch the ball and put Okehampton in attacking mode.
With the forwards all working hard to keep possession the ball was worked out to Karl Pearce to score in the corner. Chiefs responded with a try which they converted making the score 7-8. Then Chiefs applied a long passage of pressure but Okehampton repelled them on the try line to keep the score down. The next passage of play saw Giles Heard break through several players to score a great solo try which was converted.
In the second half, Okehampton continued to out-ruck Exe with Calum Pillivant, George Baker and Jack Williams continually winning turn over ball. Okehampton then scored again with one of Josh Bickley's weaving runs with one or two great hands offs in the process, which was converted.

Special mention to men of the match; Jack for his rucking and strong running and Ryan for his aggressive play at scrum half. Next week Oke away to Tiverton.
