Heather Fell, Olympic modern pentathlete silver medalist, writes about her life 'on and off' the track.

I'm not quite sure what sort of performance people were expecting from me on 'Question of Sport?'

I've had several compliments but all said in a slightly surprised tone — although I have to admit I think the BBC did edit rather well! Watching it after was certainly less painful than listening to my debut on the radio or seeing the pictures from my last competition.

This week has been back to the grind and back on the road. On Thursday I headed 'up the country' once more; it's now three times in three weeks I've been north of the M4! Thankfully the 'bride to be' chose to get married further south than the 'hen do' making the journey to Nottingham feel short in comparison. Although I don't really have the right to complain about travelling as the groom's family flew in from Australia.

I did make it home again but for just 24 hours. It was worth it for the chance to see an old school friend and her three-month-old baby visiting from Canada.

I've been thoroughly enjoying attending many weddings the last couple of years but it all starts to get a little scary when it comes to babies!

I've just arrived at Font Romeu for the second training camp in the French Pyrenees this summer. I know we are here to get fit and to take advantage of the altitude benefits but the lovely weather is normally an added bonus. Admittedly I've only been here one afternoon but so far I've been thoroughly soaked out running and the thunder is still rumbling away, lets hope its getting it all out of the system ready for a sunny two weeks ahead.
