THE Plymouth Gilbert and Sullivan Fellowship are performing a concert at St Paul's Church, Yelverton, on Saturday, November 3, in aid of the Earlybird Diabetes Trust.

The Trust supports the Earlybird Diabetes Study which is carried out at the Earlybird Research Centre in Derriford Hospital.

The Fellowship performs many concerts for charity in addition to staging a major production of one of the Gilbert and Sullivan operas each year at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth. Last Year's production of The Gondoliers won the NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) Regional Award for Excellence, as did Iolanthe in 1997.

Preparations are under way for Princess Ida at the Theatre Royal on February 5-9 2002.
