'A'-LEVEL performance students from Tavistock College staged their own pantomime 'Ricky Whittington and the Tale of Tavistock' in the college hall last week.
The panto told the 'tongue in cheek' story of young Ricky, who moves from the 'quiet town' of London to the hustle and bustle of Tavistock, and features stories from the Times, many references to Goose Fair and the rain.
On Saturday, the bandstand in the Meadows was the setting for 'Willie's Really Rotten Week', depicting the fun, failings and frolics of falling in love.
The final performance was 'Charlotte's Court', a melodrama about the story of Charlotte Dymond, who was murdered on Bodmin Moor in 1844 and the subsequent trial of her lover which was staged in the town hall.
