ON Saturday competitors took part in a four ball better ball Stableford competition at Okehampton Golf Club for the Barnes Cup. Scoring was excellent, helped by the superb condition of the golf course.

Winners of division one and the Barnes Cup were father and son Arnie and Will Searle with 45 points.

Second were Paul Skidmore and Richard Reid with 44, third were partnership Chris Hurley and Dave Harwood with 43, and fourth came Gareth Holt and Harold Penna with 42.

The second division winners were Graham Mitchell and Bob Reddington with 44 pts, second were Ray Grey and Bob Collett with 42, in third place were Alan Dunn and Ian Drayner with 41 followed by Pete Grimley and Paul Rattenbury in fourth place, also with 41.
