A CYCLIST from Harrowbarrow died after his bike was in collision with a car on Saturday night at Higher Metherell near Callington. The accident occurred at around 8pm in School Road and involved a red Mazda MX5, which had been travelling in the opposite direction to the cyclist. The 61-year-old cyclist was taken by ambulance to Derriford Hospital where he died a few hours later. The driver of the car, a 49-year-old man from Liskeard, was uninjured in the accident. The 900cc Honda motorbike was being driven by a 41-year-old man from Pillaton when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa at the junction of South Hill Road at around 6.45pm.
