Devon & Exeter League Premier Division Pinhoe 3 Okehampton Argyle 0 THIS game was as good as won after just three minutes with Pinhoe scoring their first goal after just 35 seconds, which could be a record for the league?s fastest goal. Straight from the kick-off a through ball from Pinhoe saw James Williams for Argyle try to shield the ball out for a goal kick, but in doing so he just got a touch to give away a corner. From the corner Mark Tweedie headed a fine goal past the static Neil Clift to put the home side one up. Pinhoe could not believe their luck when a couple of minutes later Mark Andrews forced the ball over the line following a goalmouth scramble with Argyle?s defenders in disarray. Although Argyle have been struggling for most of the season this was certainly the worst start for a long time. Worse was to follow when on the half hour the lanky Dave Moyes burst down the left flank and scored with a low shot from the edge of the box to put Pinhoe in an unassailable position. Argyle redeemed a bit of pride in the second half by preventing Pinhoe from scoring again, but unfortunately they still did not create any worthwhile chances for themselves. On Saturday Argyle are at home to Exeter Civil Service, kick-off 3pm. On Sunday Witheridge are the visitors in the semi-final of the East Devon Senior Cup, kick-off 2.30pm.
