A MAGNIFICENT £6,500 has been raised for Hospiscare at the Mole Avon Okehampton fashion shows held at the beginning of May. The three shows featured the customers, friends and family of Mole Avon parading its new season's clothing. Guests enjoyed a free glass of sparkling wine and nibbles, a raffle draw and a discount voucher to spend in store. The event was one of many put on across the area by Mole Avon as part of the Mole Avon Ruby Appeal, where the company pledged to raise £40,000 for Hospiscare. Ninety percent of the target has already been reached, with more events planned in the coming months. Hospiscare needs to raise more than £4-million each year to continue to provide its free of charge services to people with life-limiting illnesses in Exeter, mid and east Devon.
