IF you have wondered what is involved in an Open University course but never asked, then an open event in Okehampton might be the answer.
The OU is holding the event at the town library in North Street, Okehampton, between 4pm and 8pm on Friday, June 9.
Teams of advisory staff and tutors will be on hand to talk over any queries, and information about the wide range of courses and qualifications offered by the OU will be available.
The meetings are informal and visitors can call in at any time.
The OU is Britain's largest university with some 11,000 people currently studying in the South West region alone.
The range of courses offered continues to expand — arts, languages, social sciences, science, mathematics, computing and technology and law courses are all available.
Degrees in specific subject areas are now offered, together with highly recognised management qualifications and specialist courses in education, health and social welfare.
