EXPERIENCE the turning of the season in the garden, orchards and across the estate at Cotehele.
Visitors can walk through the woods and listen to the crunch of fallen leaves underfoot or enjoy the autumn colours of the trees and flowerbeds.
For the National Trust's ongoing '50 things to do before you're 11¾' campaign, head to Cotehele's old orchard to experience activity number nine — eat an apple straight from a tree.
Chris Groves, Cotehele's orchard officer, said: 'We've had a fantastic apple crop this year and, little by little, they're ripening up. The old orchard dates back three centuries and depending on when you time your visit you might be able to eat an elegant Cornish Aromatic, an Oaken Pin, an American Mother, a juicy Pig Snout or a strong but sweet Lady's Finger.'
