CHILDREN'S charity representatives Mark Davison from The Book Bus Foundation and Jo Smith-Scott from CHICKS are dusting off their walking boots in preparation for an exclusive charity challenge to trek to the top of Mount Toubkal in Morocco to raise vital funds for their work.

A presentation evening for those wishing to know more, is being held next Tuesday (March 26), at 6.30pm at the Tavistock Enterprise Hub (TEH).

The two Tavistock children's charities are joining forces to organise an exciting sponsored four day mountain challenge in Morocco.

CHICKS and The Book Bus Foundation, who both support disadvantaged children, are inviting people to take part in this charity trek to scale the 4,165m Mount Toubkal in the High Atlas Mountains.

The trip will be led by an experienced UK trek leader accompanied by local Berber guides and will run over a long weekend in September.

It will take in the sights and sounds of vibrant Marrakesh alongside the stunning High Atlas scenery.

Trekkers, who don't need to be mountaineers, but who should have reasonable fitness, will have the chance to stay in an authentic riad, a tent in the mountains, and a Kasbah.

Venture Co, the adventure travel company organising the trip, will be sharing expert knowledge about the challenge at the event next Tuesday and people will be able to find out more about CHICKS and the Book Bus Foundation.
