TAVISTOCK Area Children's Centre recently welcomed their 1,000th family to the sessions held at the centre.

Shortly before Christmas Danielle Casey and her son Christopher Winstanley came to register with the children's centre when they attended one of the sessions with a friend.

To mark the occasion, the children's centre presented Danielle with a bouquet of roses and a goody bag for Christopher.

The children's centre runs a wide variety of free sessions, including play, health based and fun family parenting groups in Tavistock and the surrounding areas.
