BRUSH your bulldogs, spruce up your spaniels and head to Jacobstowe for the Dartmoor View Dog Rescue Family Fun and Obedience Dog Show on Sunday, September 1.

There will be 16 classes in the family dog show, including most handsome, prettiest, best puppy and waggiest tail, and two obedience classes to show off your canine companion's skills.

There will also be fun rally obedience, dog agility, craft stalls, charity displays, a tombola and a barbecue.

Dartmoor View Dog Rescue (DVDG) will also have a parade of its rescue dogs, and is encouraging anyone who has had a rescue dog from DVDG to bring them along.

All proceeds from the event will be used for the re-homing of unwanted dogs throughout the south west.
