TWO Tavistock families took part in the 'Party in the Pavilions' last weekend, part of Music Nation, a weekend of live events devised and led by the BBC and a countdown event for London 2012 Festival.

The Noakes and Lewis families were performing in the Devon Family Orchestra a specially written original piece by Tim Steiner called 'Hunter Gatherer'.

Also involved were the BBC Concert Orchestra and Seth Lakeman.

The concert was broadcast live on BBC Radio Devon, and was compared by BBC Spotlight presenter Justin Leigh.
