THE project manager of a voluntary agency that helps women involved in prostitution will be the guest speaker at the spring Taste and See meeting.
Karine Law is project manager of Rahab, an agency that engages with women involved in prostitution in the red light area of the city and has done so for more than 23 years.
Karine became a Christian at the age of 25 and her faith has led her specifically to work with vulnerable women. She is 45, married with three children and lives in Plymouth. Her talk is entitled 'Falling in Love'.
All women of any age are welcome to Taste and See. It is not a club and there is no membership. It is organised by a committee representing the churches in the Tavistock area and has a Christian ethos. However, women of all beliefs and faiths are welcome.
The meeting will take place at the Terrace Restaurant in Tavistock on Thursday, March 21 at 7pm for 7.30pm.
Tickets, £12 for two courses with a vegetarian option, are available from Windsor's café on Russell Street. tel 01822 616957. For more information contact Ruth Newman on 01822 616859.
