ELEVEN people from the Tavistock area took part in a major event in Exeter Cathedral on Saturday, inspiring faith-based action on climate change. Christians and others from across Devon shared ideas on local responses, ranging from a rediscovery of peaceful Sundays to energy saving in church buildings. The Rev Dave Parr of Whitchurch said: 'We should take a lead in calling for changes. People in poorer countries are already suffering the effects of global warming.'
