FATHER Christmas was the guest of honour at Launceston and District Cats Protection group's Christmas Fayre last Saturday.  

The busy event saw the many stalls well supported — there was also work from Lifton Art Group and a sale of silver jewellery. Father Christmas made a short visit and gave goodie bags to the children.

The Packhorse Singers also came and sang carols around the tree, with the day day finishing with the bumper raffle. The total raised was £1,567.43.

Thanks were expressed to Patricia Clements and all helpers for making the event such a success.
