INCOME from Tavistock's Goose Fair was down for 2010, members of the town council's finance committee heard recently.
Councillors noted that net income from the event was down by around £3,000 on the previous year, despite the day being dry.
Mayor David Whitcomb said: 'It was a brilliant day, the weather was fine, there were loads of people about, but we are quite a bit down financially.'
Park and ride takings were down by £500 and bus hire had gone up by £1,000, members heard.
A meeting will be held in February to consider organisation for next year's event.
