JACK and Jill went up the hill — to play a game of bingo! A special game of prize bingo is being held in Sticklepath Village Hall tomorrow, Friday, May 9, to help raise funds for the Jack and Jill Toddler Group. The toddler group has been meeting in Sticklepath for more than 25 years. It helps supports families across the area by providing a friendly environment for toddlers. Run on a voluntary basis, the toddler group encourages active evolvement from all and different crafts are run in each session. Fundraising events are run throughout the year in order to replace equipment and to buy new toys and craft materials for the children. The prize bingo is Jack and Jill's first fundraising event of 2008. Tickets cost 50p, with doors opening at 7pm for eyes down at 7.30pm. The entrance fee includes a 'lucky ticket' and there will be home-made cakes as well as other refreshments available. A special raffle will also be taking place with a huge array of fantastic prizes that have been kindly donated by Waitrose, Quinns, Shoe Box, Abstract, The Vegetable Garden, Lifestyles, Plume of Feathers, Rustix, J Street Diner, Beanfeast, Okehampton Photo Centre, Leisure Wear, Angel, Dymond Beauty, Julz 4 U, Rant and Rage, Deborah Cunningham, Karen, The Fountain Hotel, The Pickled Walnut, Panache and The Arts. Jack and Jill Toddler Group meet every Tuesday and Friday from 10am to 11.30am at Sticklepath Village Hall.
