ADVISORS from Devon Care & Repair and South West Water will be joining West Devon Connect's regular Outreach service for the month of November.

South West Water advisors will be able to answer any queries or concerns about their services, including water/sewage supply, accounts, metering, water conservation or general enquiries.

There will also be a wide range of literature available, along with the opportunity to take home free Hippos and Hogs — domestic cistern devices that help reduce the flush volume.

Devon Care & Repair staff will also be on hand to provide advice, information and practical help with all aspects of enabling older and vulnerable people to remain independent in their own homes.

This can range from putting up a grab rail to helping to find funding for a leaking roof. The service is especially for people over the age of 60, or for households where there is an adult or child with disabilities or special needs, and is available to both home owners and tenants.

Devon Care & Repair can help with:

• repairs and improvements

• major adaptations (disabled facilities)

• minor adaptations

• free home safety assessment.

Care & Repair's West Devon team manager, Margaret Conkey, said: 'We are very pleased to be part of the themed monthly Outreach with West Devon Connect and South West Water. We hope we will reach many people who could benefit from knowing about us.

Whether it's small repairs, larger alterations and improvements to your home, Devon Care & Repair may be able to help.' West Devon Connect's Outreach service brings together many different agencies and organisations into a local venue, taking public services right into the Borough's more rural communities.
