THE museum of Dartmoor Life, in Okehampton, is holding a kite workshop on August 26, starting at 10am and ending at 12.30pm.

Will Harrison, of Brookite Kites, will show up to 12 families or 12 individuals how to make and fly their own kites. After the workshop it is hoped there will also be a chance to fly the kites on Dartmoor and perhaps bring along a picnic.

Booking is essential for the workshop as places are limited. There will be a cost of £7 per family for the kite making equipment; however after the workshop they can walk away with their own hand-made kite.
