THE rich farming heritage of Moretonhampstead will be celebrated at a harvest time exhibition this month.

For more than 1,000 years, Moretonhampstead's farmers and farm labourers have tried to make a living on its steep, granite-strewn fields and moorland wastes. The exhibition showcases audio-visual materials and artefacts to tell their fascinating story.

It will particularly reflect the changes that have affected the lives of seven local farmers and their families over the last half century.

The exhibition is open every day from 10m to 4pm from now until November 2 at the Green Hill Arts and Heritage Centre.
