BEING a regular visitor to both Tavistock cemeteries, I and many others were pleased to read in your last edition of the present condition of the cemeteries and churchyard being brought to light.

All we seem to have are excuses — the weather and other places taking priority. With every respect for the present caretaker, during the previous 12 months, the cemeteries were very well kept and, if circumstances have changed for the present caretaker, may I sugggest we revert to the old system.

Admittedly the previous caretaker 'lived on the job' and had an advantage, but in 12 years the weather hasn't changed!
